As Group Manager - Technology and Major Capability at the Department of Home Affairs from May 2019 to early 2024, Michael oversaw all facets of ICT delivery and operations, including cyber security and program delivery. His strategic acumen and proactive approach have significantly enhanced the department's capabilities, earning recognition as a trusted partner in delivering critical programs.

Prior to his current position, Michael held key leadership roles such as First Assistant Secretary Major Capability Division and Chief Information Officer at the Department of Immigration and Border Protection/Home Affairs.
