Liesl Jordan has spent 27 years working in government, multi-lateral organisations and private enterprise. From 2012-2016, Liesl served as the Australian Government’s senior security representative in the Australian High Commission, London where she worked with the UK heads of intelligence, security and law enforcement agencies and Five-Eyes partners to ensure coordinated bilateral and multi-lateral responses to complex national security matters.
Liesl remained in London where as a partner in Rann Strategy Group, she and the Hon. Mike Rann, former South Australian Premier, advised ASX-listed companies on their government engagement strategies, with a focus on the UK, Italy and Australia.
Since 2018, Liesl has worked with several tech start-up companies helping them to grow and scale in the Australian market. She has also acted as a strategic adviser to established technology companies helping them navigate and position their technologies in the federal government market, as well as a board member for a Japanese cyber corporation and is on the expert panel for The Cipher Brief.
Liesl has a strong interest in social impact projects and for three years worked in India leading the design and delivery phases of a regional governance projects for the United Nation's Development Program (UNDP). Working with government and non-government organisations across south and southeast Asia, Liesl supported the UN’s sustainable development goals around decreasing the spread of HIV/AIDS in the region by building the capacity of NGOs and government organisations.
